Is the beautiful cherry tree in your yard?~Mama Linda

Yep, it's in the front yard. It is amazing. In the summer it becomes a little umbrella of life as little birds love to chat in it. Last year (our first in the house, as you know) a pair of Bushtits built a marvelous hanging nest in it, and it's still there. I'm eager to learn whether they'll reuse it this year. Check out http://www.jacksonbottom.org/images/gallery/birds/Bushtit_Nest_Mar-04.jpg to see what a hanging Bushtit nest looks like. :)
Glad to find your blog! We are just a couple houses west of you, on the corner, and also marvel at the height and speed of construction on that house. It's almost a game to see what's new today. Another story! Windows! Siding! Not quite sure what to make of it all.
I'm just glad that they're still working on it... with this economy, I'm surprised to see new construction going on.Nice to meet you... you know, if online interfacing counts as meeting. :)By the way, I also maintain a less personal, more newsy blog for all of Foster-Powell at FosterPowellPDX.com.
